What is Cheesecake Dip?
Cheesecake dip is exactly what it sounds like – rich creamy cheesecake filling in dip form! It’s made with real cheesecake ingredients like cream cheese, confectioner’s sugar, greek yogurt and strawberries. Serve it with your favorite dippers or graham crackers to complete the cheesecake flavor.
Recipe Highlights
- Fresh ingredients – This recipe is made with fresh strawberries for the best flavor, but you can easily substitute with thawed frozen strawberries or strawberry jam.
- Serve with your favorite dippers or add-ins – Suggestions for serving are below. You can also add in ingredients like rainbow sprinkles, crushed graham crackers or mini chocolate chips.
- Make ahead – This recipe is a great quick and easy dessert, after school snack or appetizer that you can prep ahead in only 10 minutes.
Pro Tips
(1) Use a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to strain the strawberry puree.
(2) Soften the cream cheese to room temperature. Set it on the counter for one hour before using. This ensures that the cream cheese blends easily and no chunks remain to create a smooth dip. If you use the cream cheese before softening, you may have chunks of cream cheese in your dip.
Serving Suggestions
- Graham Crackers
- Shortbread Cookies
- Pretzels
- Chocolate Chip Cookies or Sugar Cookies
- Fresh Fruit – strawberries, banana slices, apple slices, pineapple chunks, etc.
Storage and Make Ahead
You can make the dip ahead of time and store in the refrigerator until ready to use. The dip will keep in the fridge for up to 3 days. Store in a sealed container.
FAQs
Let the cream cheese sit on the counter at room temperature for one hour. You can also cut the cream cheese in chunks and let it sit on a plate. This will help it soften faster.
While cheesecake dip is best served fresh, you can freeze leftovers. To freeze, transfer the dip to a freezer safe zip-top bag, pressing out as much of the air as possible. Store in the freezer for up to 2 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight before serving.
