Enjoy a relaxing mini weekend getaway at Waldorf Astoria Orlando! The resort features beautiful accommodations, signature dining, a relaxing spa and activities for the entire family.
Fall in Florida is the best! With the holidays quickly approaching, I decided to plan a relaxing weekend getaway. The Waldorf Astoria Orlando is the perfect place to escape for the weekend. With beautiful accommodations, tasty dining options and activities to please everyone, the resort is great for the entire family. A mini weekend getaway at Waldorf Astoria Orlando was relaxing, fun and delectable!
The Waldorf Astoria Orlando is conveniently located in the Bonnet Creek resort area next to Walt Disney World Resort. The resort is the perfect retreat from the attractions. I love that the resort is located close to Disney and other popular Orlando attractions but somewhat secluded. It’s a central location for your Disney adventure or a secluded retreat for a relaxing weekend away from the hustle and bustle. Even though the hotel was full the weekend that we visited, it never felt crowded. In fact, even as a full service property, I love that it had a smaller resort feel.
The resort is located next to the Hilton Bonnet Creek Resort, allowing guests to enjoy dining options and amenities from both properties.
Waldorf Astoria Orlando Accommodations
We are more likely to choose family friendly accommodations now that we travel with my daughter. I love that the Waldorf Astoria Orlando offers plenty of options to suit a variety of needs. We chose the King Deluxe Suite with Balcony and a connecting Double Queen room. The room included a large bedroom with king sized bed, two queen beds, two private bathrooms, a large living area and small dining area. In addition, the room overlooked the pool and featured a balcony. I highly recommend upgrading the a suite. You will not be disappointed.
Waldorf Astoria Orlando Activities
The best part about the Waldorf Astoria Orlando is the variety of activities to please the entire family. With the beautiful fall weather, we enjoyed one afternoon in a poolside cabana. The poolside cabana was perfect because it provided privacy and adequate shade to protect my daughter from the sun. The cabana is stocked with drinks and offers comfortable lounge chairs and a TV. We enjoyed lunch and drinks delivered from Aquamarine Poolside Bistro.
My favorite way to relax is at the spa and the Waldorf Astoria Orlando spa exceed all expectations. The spa is beautiful and offers an assortment of services, including signature services only available at the Orlando property. For this visit, I enjoyed the illuminating mineral facial and another member of our group enjoyed the reflexology massage. Both were exceptional and I can’t wait to return on our next visit!

In addition to the pool and spa, the Waldorf Astoria Orlando offers a world class golf course and featured celebrations throughout the year. The resort is a great place to visit year round!
Waldorf Astoria Orlando Dining
Before my visit, I read many excellent reviews about the dining options at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando. The food was what inspired me to plan a trip to the resort. The property includes everything from the refined Bull and Bear Restaurant to a casual breakfast buffet at Oscar’s Brasserie. Because the Hilton Bonnet Creek Resort is located right next door, guests are also able to enjoy the Hilton’s dining options, such as the signature Italian restaurant, La Luce.
La Luce is elegant, refined and also family friendly! The food, service and ambiance are excellent. The beautiful dining room overlooks a wood oven where fresh pizzas are made and is suited for couples and families.
The signature restaurant was created by famed Napa Valley Chef and Restauranteur Donna Scala. The menu offers everything from fresh pasta, pizza, seafood and more. We visited during one of the resort’s Food and Wine weekends and enjoyed dishes featuring halibut, lamb, duck and fresh vegetables.
Don’t miss a stop at Oscar’s Brasserie on your next visit. I don’t usually enjoy buffet type meals but the breakfast buffet offerings at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando were a step above. For a reasonable price, the buffet offers fresh pastries, signature side dishes, an omelet station, fresh baked breads, cereal and oatmeal bar, charcuterie, fresh smoothies, and a fresh juice bar. Fresh ingredients create a quality meal that the entire family will love. With an endless selection, you can enjoy the buffet breakfast every single day of your trip.
One weekend was not enough time to experience all that the Waldorf Astoria Orlando has to offer. I can’t wait to return to visit the spa again, relax in a poolside cabana and indulge in some of the other dining options. Without a doubt, the property is a place that I will want to visit again and again. Don’t wait, plan your next visit today!
Waldorf Astoria Orlando graciously hosted us for part of our stay. As always, all opinions are my own.
I’ve had the pleasure of staying at the Waldorf Astoria in NYC and I have no doubt that their Orlando resort would be at the same exceptional level. It looks like you had such a relaxing weekend getaway there!
The poolside cabana, those eats! And all the sun…. I think I could cozy into those things. Sounds like this was just the perfect time for a little vacation. Happy you enjoyed it, and thanks for sharing it with us!
Wow, so much to do all without leaving the property!
This looks like a little piece of heaven! What beautiful weather, food, and accommodations!
I want to go today!
