Saute onion and garlic. Pour in broth (or water). Add potatoes, corn, bay leaf, thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir. Close the lid and cook. Discard bay leaf.
Press Saute. Mix cornstarch with milk, then stir it into the soup, followed by milk and honey. Thicken soup with immersion blender. Stir and allow to simmer. Serve.
